Fit of Thule Interstate Roof Mounted Cargo Bag on Roof of 2013 GMC Yukon

Question:

Greetings: Will the Thule TH869 fit securely on a GMC Yukon 2013? The Yukon has a roof rack with front and rear cross bars but the side rails are flush with the roof of the vehicle with no openings for cinching the carrier to the side rails - only to the front and rear crossbars. Thanks

The Thule Interstate Rooftop Cargo Bag you referenced, part # TH869 would work very well on the roof of your 2013 Yukon.

Having the bag strapped to the front and rear crossbar only is perfectly acceptable, it's nice to have side rails to attach the bag to as well, but it isn't absolutely necessary.

Since the bag will be in direct contact with the roof, you'll want to ensure that the surface of the roof and the bottom of the bag are completely clean and free of grit of any kind. Applying a good coat of quality car wax to the roof can add further protection.
