Trailer Hitch, Wiring, and Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2016 Honda Pilot

Question:

2016 Honda Pilot, Touring or Elite Dealer Hitch: 08L92-TG7-100 Dealer Harness: 08L91-TG7-100 Tranny cooler: 06255-5ez-316 dealer install Just the tranny cooler is $500 installed. Do you offer any solutions to this vehicle ? The factory hitch has tongue of 350# @ 3500# With the tranny cooler the tow increases to 5000# but there is no mention of tongue capacity increase. Comments ? Thanx,

For a trailer hitch for your 2016 Honda Pilot we have the Curt Hitch part # C13146 that has a 6,000 lb trailer capacity and a 900 lb tongue weight capacity. You should note that if your vehicle has lower capacities (sounds like it does), you would need to go by the lower figures as overall capacity.

For trailer wiring you would want the part # C56291 which has been confirmed as a fit.

For a transmission cooler the part # D13503 would be a great option. Transmission coolers are pretty universal in their application and installation so this would work well as long as you can fit in front of the radiator of your vehicle. It measures 11" Wide x 8-3/4" tall x 7/8" deep. Check out the install video I attached for it.

Typically OEM towing capacities are listed with the tongue weight capacity being 10 percent of the total trailer weight capacity. Usually this is specified, but if not it is implied.
