What Are Functions of Extra Wires on Bayliner Trailer Tail Light Assemblies

Question:

Hey, I think part #403075 will do the trick, it measures up, and looks exactly the same comparing it to the left side of my 2007 Bayliner trailer. Question though, I see 3 wires coming from the part, but the original tai light Im replacing has 3 additional white wires spliced coming off the original white wire. It also has another 2 brown wires coming off the green/brown wire connector....is there a part that has these additional wires already a part of the light? thanks,

Thank you for including a photo of your 2007 Bayliner trailer's passenger-side taillight.

It appears your existing light has extra jumper connections on its ground wire (white), stop/turn wire (green) and taillight wire (brown). This may be provided as a convenience to simplify wiring in other lights on the trailer, especially if the trailer is aluminum which makes it tough to get a good ground. We don't offer lights with this wiring set up.

Since the 2-pole connectors are the same as those on part # 403075 you should be fine using this. You will want to connect the white ground wire to the same wire where the ground on the old light connected. It may be necessary to remove the ring terminal.
