Truck Bed Camper Tie Down Recommendations for a 2013 Ford F-150

Question:

Hi, I am interested in the truck bed tie downs either TDSF or HSSF. I am interested because they cost so much less than the under chassis types. They will be used on a light weight pop up camper. I have a 2013 Ford f150. Looks like they may not work on my truck though. Can you confirm or is it possible to use them? If not what do you recommend? Lou 503 516 8763

The Brophy Camper Tie Downs, part # TDSF can be used on campers that have a total length of up to 8 feet in length. The Brophy Camper Tie Downs, part # HSSF can be used on any size campers. There is no weight capacity rating on the camper tie downs and they will work for any camper size that is properly sized for your 2013 Ford F-150.

The Brophy # TDSF mounts into the truck bed stake pocket, where as the Brophy # HSSF tie downs wrap around the bed, not in the stake pockets, and are mounted inside the bed.

Also, Brophy # HSSF will work in trucks with spray-in bed liners. If your truck has a drop-in bed liner, it will need to be trimmed or removed to use part # HSSF.

If your camper has a total length of more than 8 feet, you will need to use Brophy # HSSF.

For either kit you will want to use the Brophy Camper Tie Down Hardware Kit, part # TDHP. This hardware kit will be used to attach the camper to the tie downs.
