Trailer Hitch Cargo Carrier with Ramp Recommendation for 2014 Ford Explorer

Question:

Looking for a trailer hitch cargo carrier that can hold my Honda EU6500is gas-powered electrical generator for when I need to transport it. It is too large and heavy to be picked up, but can be rolled up a ramp. It measures 26.5W, 34L, and 27.5H. Id also like to use the carrier for general cargo when making family vacations have one in 2 weeks. Vehicle is 2014 Ford Explorer Sport, ruby-red in color.

I recommend the Flint Hill Goods 30 x 50 Hitch Cargo Carrier. This carrier has a 48 inch ramp that folds up when not in use. Then you secure it with a pin and clip for travel. When not in use, this cargo carrier will fold up toward your vehicle. This cargo carrier has a weight capacity of 500 pounds, but I recommend checking your trailer hitch's max tongue weight as well as that of your vehicle before loading your cargo to know your cargo weight limit.

I have attached a review video of this cargo carrier for you.

If you need cargo straps, I recommend the Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps # EM34415. Each strap in this set is 10 feet long and has a safe working load limit of 400 pounds. The ratchet makes it easy to tighten down and the retractable straps do away with excess strap that needs to be secured.
