Comparing the Curt Q16 and Pro Series 16K 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches
Question:
I am looking at a new fifth wheel hitch for my new trailer I am getting. Looking to upgrade from my standard slide jaw single pivot 15k rated hitch to a double jaw dual pivot 16k rated hitch. What are the pros and cons of the curt q16 vs. Reese pro series 16k dual jaw RP30047? Thank you for any help!!!

The Curt Q16 5th wheel trailer hitch # C16120 is a great option. It has the dual jaw like you want and the head pivots front to back and side to side. This hitch is also cushioned for a smoother ride and the 3-point indicator system lets you know if you are hooked up properly or not. It also comes with a lube plate attached to the head. This is the hitch I would go with. I have linked a video review of this hitch for you.
The Pro Series hitch # RP30047 is also a good entry level hitch. It does have the dual jaw and 4-way pivoting head. But it is not cushioned, does not have a 3-point indicator system, does not come with a lube plate, and it costs a little more. I have linked a video review of this hitch as well.
