Trailer Wiring Harness has No Power on a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
have a 95 grand cherikee with factory tow package,,no longer works the new clip is in, but doesn t work are these 2 wires responsible and where do they go

The black and yellow wires together in their own connector are for power (black wire) and left turn signal (yellow wire). Use a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 to determine if the black wire has power on it when plugged into the factory plug. the vehicle may or may not have to be turned on.
If there is no power coming from the vehicle, then it is likely a blown fuse or relay in the power distribution box.
If there is power on that black wire but no power on the 4-Way wiring coming out of the converter box when a given function is activated, then that indicates a problem with the converter and the wiring harness will need to be replaced. I have linked a video showing how to test a converter.
