Question:
Running lights dont work. I bought a trailer light tester and it shows no power to brown wire. Brakes and turn signals work. Do I need a new Ford harness?

Sounds like you have blown the running lights trailer wiring circuit on your 2012 Ford Escape since the rest of the circuits work and you mentioned that your vehicle has the tow package. You will want to check the fuse panel under the hood of your vehicle for the running light trailer wiring fuse and replace it.
