Installing Draw-Tite Class II Hitch Part # 36187 on 1992 Buick Century

Question:

Hi Im trying to install my trailer hitch I bought used and I dont have instructions, I have a 1992 buick century four door. My hitch is a Draw-Tite 36187. Do I have to take the bumper off to install this and will I have to drill any holes?

You are in luck! No drilling is required, nor do you have to remove the bumper. The hitch uses existing nuts welded into your frame. With an older vehicle such as yours, there is probably a fair amount of corrosion and road grime built up in there. To prevent breaking these nuts loose from the frame, you will have to make sure they are nice and clean before installing the bolts. We recommend soaking the weld nuts with a spray lubricant like WD-40 and scrubbing them with a wire brush. We have found that the brush from a battery terminal cleaner works very well.

I have an install instruction sheet for that hitch, I will provide a link to them below.
