Recommended Blue Ox Tow Bar for Use with Currie Tow Plate 9033JK on 2008 Wrangler Sahara

I currently have a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sahara with a Currie 9033JK tow plate. I am looking into getting a Blue Ox tow bar. What would you recommend that would fit with minimal modifications to the existing tow plate?

My contact at Blue Ox confirmed that with the Currie 9033JK tow plate on your 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sahara you can use either their Avail tow bar # BX7420. This will directly fit the Currie tow plate and both of these motorhome-mount tow bars include the required safety cables.

Flat towing also requires a wiring or lighting kit as well as a supplementary braking system. The easiest to install kits are the magnetic type that require no modifications to your Jeep or its wiring, such as # TLL21RK from Optronics. The Blue Ox Patriot supplementary braking system # BLU37TR is fully-portable and operates via its wireless radio frequency remote control. Installation of this braking system in a Wrangler Unlimited is shown in the linked video. You will also need a battery disconnect kit, part # RM-766, to prevent battery drainage while underway.
