Question:
I have a 2004 2500HD Chevy with a 6 1/2 bed. I need a custom install rails and 5th wheel hitch. The camper is a 29, pin weight is 1800 pounds, Unloaded weight of camper is 8900 pounds and Gross weight is 11,000 pounds. Im looking for rail installation that is the easiest install, so need custom install rails. I know Ill need the a slider hitch, please can you give me a couple of install options for my truck for rails and 5th wheel hitch. Thanks,

We have exactly what you would need. First let's start with a fifth wheel rail kit for your 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD short bed. The easiest to install will be an outboard custom install kit. For that you would want the part # RP56007-53 that has been custom fit for your vehicle.
The outboard rail kits are much easier to install than the inboard ones.
For an economical slider fifth wheel option the part # RP30051 would work great. It's an entry level hitch with enough capacity. But if you are looking for something that is a little nicer I would go with the # RP30075 as it has a jaw system that will provide tighter king pin contact and has a round tube slider that will operate much smoother than the square tube.
