Blown Fuse After Connecting Power Lead for Hopkins Agility Brake Controller # HM47294 Installation

I connected brake control as directed and I connected the power lead under the hood, then I blew a fuse

The first thing that I would do is go over the wiring in your 2013 Chevrolet Silverado one more time just to make sure that the color connections made are correct, red wire on truck to black wire on controller, dark blue to blue, light blue or orange to red, and white to white.
If all connections are correct, you could have a short on the 12 volt circuit. In this case I recommend tracing the wire back to the 7 way to looking for any damage and replace as necessary.
