Taller Trailer Wheel and Tire Recommendation from a 5.70-8
Question:
I have a tent trailer with 5.7x8 tires and would like to upsize to the next step in diameter. I understand Ill have to check for clearance and fit. What would the next size be and how would it compare size-wise? Many thanks for your time!

Expert Reply:
The next size up from a 5.7-8 trailer tire is the 215/60-8 which is only .2 inches taller in diameter, yet it fits a rim that is twice as wide (7 inches). It would not fit on your current rims.
The next biggest diameter tire that would be about the same in width to what you currently have would be to go to a 4.80-12 that would require you to go with a 12 inch rim. This will be almost 2-1/2 inches taller.
For a 4 on 4 inch bolt pattern rim you would want the part # AM30620, for a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern, # AM30660.
