Installation of Curt Class III # C13105 Trailer Hitch on 2005 Toyota Sienna
Question:
What is the mounting bolt size?

Expert Reply:
The Curt Class III # C13105 trailer hitch attaches to a 2005 Toyota Sienna using M12-1/25 x 40 bolts. The installation hardware is included with the hitch.
The bolts attach to preexisting nuts that have been welded to the inside of the frame members. Over the years, quite a bit of road gunk and corrosion has likely made its way up into those weldnuts. Before attempting to install the hitch bolts, you'll want to give the threads a thorough cleaning. Spray a generous amount of spray lubricant like WD-40 or PB Blaster up into the weldnuts. Then, use a wire brush like the one included with the # DW00254 battery terminal cleaner and give the threads a good scrubbing. You might need to repeat this several times.
