Roadmaster EvenBrake # RM-9400 Supplemental Braking System Has Break Away Alarm Going Off
Question:
I keep getting a break away alarm on my system, its been working fine till now . any suggestions would be helpful. I checked break away switch and it activates brake as required.

I spoke with my contact in Technical Services at Roadmaster. There are two likely possibilities for what you're experiencing.
1) The wiring harness from the ICX transmitter to the break away switch might have cracked or worn wire insulation, which is allowing it to short out. If you find any damage on the wire, you can try to repair it or simply replace the harness with part # RM-650900.
2) If the harness isn't worn and hasn't caused a short, the ICX transmitter has gone bad and would need to be replaced. A replacement is offered as part # RM-9420.
