When flat towing a vehicle with a tow bar, you will also need the required base plates and tow lights for the vehicle being towed. Also safety cables will be needed.
The Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit, # 52181-1, is attached to the vehicle being towed. The base plate kit is a bolt-on application which might require some trimming of the spoiler, lower air dam, grill or plastic fascia depending on which model Saturn you have. Then you could attach the Roadmaster Tracker Tow Bar, # RM-020, to the base plate kit. We also have a Roadmaster Tow Bar Quick Disconnect Kit, # RM-201, which would allow you to easily connect and disconnect the tow bar to the base plate extension on the car and remove the base plate extensions.
The RoadMaster Tail Light Wiring Kit with Bulbs, # RM-155, would be attached to the vehicle being towed to give it working brake lights and turn signals. To install this wiring kit you would need to drill a hole in each tail light lens housing to install the bulbs.
Another option for wiring kit would be the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, # RM-154, which includes diodes to protect both vehicles wiring systems from being overloaded.
The safety cables to use would be RoadMaster 68 inch Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables, # RM-643.
So the only changes to the tow vehicle would be the base plate kit being attached to it and the wiring harness being connected.
