A78-13 Boat Trailer Tire Recommendation
Question:
I have a boat trailer that I believe came with 155 80 13 tires. I had a flat and could not find a new replacement tire the same size. A larger tire rubs the fenders. I did find a used A78 13 that appears the same. I contacted the company and I cannot simply get larger fenders without changing springs and axles. I hate to replace the tire with a smaller less weight rated tire. What is my best replcement option ?

The A78-13 tire you are considering is same size as a 175/80R13 like the part # AM10210.
The outer diameter of this tire is 24.1 inches when inflated and has a section width of 7 inches. This should only be a little bit larger than what you currently have (less than an inch wider and right at 1-1/2 inches taller), so it should work as long as your clearances aren't too tight.
The 155/80R13 isn't a standard trailer tire size.
