Why Can the Thule OutWay 2 Bike # TH45JV be Used on 2012 Mazda 3 but Not 3 Bike # TH56BV

Why cant I use this on my 2012 Mazda 3 sedan?

I spoke with my contact at Thule and after testing they found that carrying three bikes with the Thule OutWay, # TH56BV, would put too much weight on a 2012 Mazda 3 and could possibly damage the vehicle. In this case they recommend using the 2-bike version, # TH56BV, which offers the same great features. I have included a couple of videos for you.
