Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendation for 2015 Honda Odyssey Hauling 5 Bikes
Question:
Hello: I have a new 2015 Honda Odyssey, and am shopping for a trailer hitch. It will be primarly used for a multi-bike rack. How robust is C13068 Curt compared to 75270 DrawTite? Both are highly rated, but I note that the Curt only has two bolts on the passenger side. A little lop sided. Which would you recommend? Also, do the blocks/spacers that come with the hitches need to be used? I read in some of the postings that some customers did not use them. Which bike rack would you recommend for either hitch? I would like to haul five bicycles at one time. Thanks very much for your time:

When it comes to a hitch for your 2015 Honda Odyssey, we have three option for a Class III hitch, Curt # C13068 and Draw-Tite # 75270. Both are quality hitches and are rated at 350 lbs for tongue weight and 3,500 lbs for towing after going through extensive testing. With the functions being identical, the Curt # C13068 would be my pick due to the fact that it is the most economical choice.
As for the included block/spacer, for proper installation you will want to follow the manufacturer's instructions which would be to use the spacer. I can't recommend going against the instructions.
Now for a bike rack that will haul five bikes. I have included a link to all of these for you. One of my favorites is the Thule Apex, # TH9026XT, which is loaded with great features including dual arced arms, anti-sway cradles, and a tilting mast which will allow you access to the cargo area of your Odyssey.
