Adapter for a 6-Pole on a Pick Up Truck and a 7-Way Blade on a 1989 Layton 5th Wheel Trailer
Question:
I have a 1989 21 for Layton 5th wheel. It has the installed connector to the pick up. On my pick up is a 6 pin. This adaptor seems right but would like to be sure before ordering, If you can confirm this one or tell me the right on I would appreciate it.

If your pick up has a 6 round connector, and your 1989 Layton 5th wheel trailer has a 7-Way blade, then the 6 Pole to 7 Pole Trailer Wiring Adapter, # 47435, is the correct adapter for you. When going from a 6-Pole on the vehicle, to a 7-Way on the trailer, the center pole on the 7-Way will be inactive because the center pole is for reverse lights. On a 6-Way connector, there is no pole for reverse lights, thus rendering the center pole on the 7-Way part of the adapter inactive.
