Kayak Carrier And Tie-Down Recommendations For 2011 Hyundai Tucson With Factory Roof Rack

Hello, i have the factory roof rack and want to add two kayak carriers. Where would the bow/ stern tie down to? I do not see anywhere to do so.

You are having the same problem many people face when trying to find a good place to secure their kayaks and canoes bow and stern to their vehicle. I do have a solution for you.
I recommend the Thule Hood Loops for Thule Bow/Stern Tie-Downs, part # TH529. You attach your bow and stern tie-downs to these Loops that attach to a bolt inside of your hood. You could also consider the etrailer Tie-Down Kit # e36ZR that come with straps and soft anchor points that you simply close them under the vehicle hood or hatch without installing them to the vehicle like the Hood Loops.
I recommend the Thule The Stacker, part # TH830. This is a post-style carrier that will allow you to carry the kayaks side by side on your crossbars. This system also includes 2 adjustable tie-down straps to secure the kayaks to the carrier, and bow/stern tie-downs.
