Do Hitches Ever Loosen and Fall Off of Vehicles
Question:
HI, I have a 2004 RAV 4. I see that the hitch is bolted on. How likely are the bolts to loosen over time? I would hate to lose a load on the highway. Thanks

As long as the install bolts of the hitch on your 2004 Toyota RAV4 were torqued down to spec when the hitch was installed you would not ever have to worry about the hitch coming loose.
We have yet to hear of a hitch loosening over time and falling off of a vehicle so I can almost guarantee you would be fine.
