Roof Mounted Bike Rack Recommendationf or a Firmstrong Chief Man 7

Question:

Hello, I recently purchased a Firmstrong Chief Man 7 Speed cruiser bike for tall men, with an extended length frame. I would prefer to not have to remove the front wheel of the bike to load on the rack. Therefore the wheel tray of the roof rack would need to be about 59-60 inches for this bike. I am not finding this specific detail in your product specs to be able to shop around. My car is a 2015 Subaru XV Cross Trek with factory crossbars installed. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

The roof bike racks we offer that secure to the wheel wouldn't be quite long enough for you. The longest one we have would be the Yakima Frontloader which is 56 inches from front to back.

The best recommendation I could make would be to use a tandem bike rack like the Thule Tandem Roof Mounted Bike Rack part # TH558P which is 75 inches in length. It will require removal of the front wheel though.
