Can Dutton-Lainson # DL21741 Bunk Rollers Be Installed Directly to Boat Trailer Bunk Boards

Question:

Ive got a 3800lb dry weight 2005 Trophy Pro 2052WA sitting on a caravan boat trailer with 11 ft bunks should I attach the roller bunks to the existing carpeted wood bunks or do a swap out? Are 2 5foot Roller Bunk Assys each side adequate for my payload? Thanks in Advance!

You can certainly attach the # DL21741 bunk rollers directly to your carpeted bunks, but I'd recommend removing the carpet first, though. This way, the carpet won't rot out from under the bunk roller and make the roller assembly loose.

Since each 5 foot section has a 3000 lb capacity, using two sets of rollers on each side will work just fine, you'll have plenty of capacity.

A few years back, I installed bunk rollers directly to the wooden bunks on my PWC trailer. They worked really well.
