Hitch Recommendation for a 2010 Toyota Prius
Question:
I am trying to find a hitch for a 2010 prius that has a 2inch receiver since the hitch accessories I have are all 2inch and I dont want to have the added sway using an adapter. -Frustrated!

Class III hitches with 2 inch openings are used for vehicles with higher capacities like trucks and SUVs than a Toyota Prius.
The only hitch options we carry for the 2010 Toyota Prius is a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4 inch opening like the # 24847. Now when you use a 2 inch adapter like the # HTAD you end up cutting the hitch capacity due to the additional leverage and movement in the hitch.
The best solution I could make for you would be to upgrade your accessories to ones that are compatible with 1-1/4 inch hitches.
I attached a couple help articles for you to check out as well.
