Fit of Curt # C13563 Class III Hitch and Yakima # Y02465 FullSwing Bike Rack on 2008 Nissan Quest
Question:
Hello, I really like this Curt hitch receiver because it has great reviews and its tucked away almost under the rear bumper. The only problem is, the bike rack that Im looking to purchase, the Yakima Fullswing, requires a least 6.5inch clearance from the mounting hole of the hitch to the rear edge of the bumper. With this hitch receiver being tucked so far under the bumper, it doesnt look like the bike rack would clear and the rack would hit the rear bumper before snapping into the hitch pin hole. Can you tell me what the distance is from the edge of the bumper is to the center of the mounting hole where the pin goes into? Thanks.

When we installed the Curt # C13563 on a 2006 Quest, we found that the hitch pin hole was recessed under the vehicle by 5-1/4 inches. Since the shank of the Yakima # Y02465 FullSwing is longer than that, at 6-1/2 inches the rack would fit fine. The 2006 and 2008 Nissan Quest both belong to the third generation of the vehicle so if the hitch was recessed by that amount on the 2006, there's an excellent chance that it'll be recessed by the same amount on your 2008 since there wasn't any substantial changes in the vehicle between those model years.
