Availability of 16 Inch Long Weight Distribution Shank
Question:
I need a 15inch or 16inch long hitch bar. I tow a regular trailer with a 2004 Dodge RAM 2500 with a 12inch hitch bar. I replaced that truck with a 2015 RAM 3500 that sits 3.25inch higher at the hitch receiver. The 2inch x 2inch x 11inch hitch bar is too short to use on the new truck, Do you sell one 15 or 16inch long with 6 holes, 3/4inch diameter on 1.25inch centers? I am using an EZ equalizing hitch assy

Since it sounds like you're needing more drop because your new truck is taller, I'd go with the Curt # C17122 which is 16 inches long and has a maximum rise of 10-1/2 inches or drop of 7 inches. The shank has 3/4 inch diameter holes that are 1-1/4 inches apart on center.
To be sure you're getting the correct rise/drop of shank, measure the height of your receiver, measured from the inside of the top of the receiver tube to the ground. Then, measure the height of the trailer coupler when its jacked up so it's level. The difference in these heights is the rise/drop you'll need. To compensate for a bit of squat, you'll want the trailer ball sitting about 1 to 1-1/2 inches above level. I'll link you to our FAQ article that shows how to take those height measurements. The FAQ is for determining the correct ball mount height, but the procedure for a weight distribution shank would be the same.
