7-Way to 4-Way Adapter Recommendation  

Question:

I need to convert a truck output to the trailer from a seven wire system using the red wire for stop lights to a four wire system using turn signals green and yellow and stop light combined. Do they sell a converter or how can I use either diodes or a relay and how. Thank you Sincerely

Typically 7-way connectors already have combined stoplight circuits so all you would need is an adapter like part # PK12716.

The red wire of a 7-way is typically the left turn/stop circuit so you might verify with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 that the red wire you found doesn't also carry the blinker circuit.

Otherwise you would need to make an adapter using a converter part # RM-732, 7-way # H20043, and 4-way # 18252.
