Using a Wedge with a Sidewinder/Revolution Pin Box and Curt E16 Slider

Question:

my dealer installed a curt E 16 hitch on my GMC 2012 crew cab 25oo with 6.6 box My fifth wheel trailer has a reese revolution pin box they used the universal wedge kit and wedge is positioned as far forward as possible, but I still get some rotational movement at the kingpin when turning The short end of the wedge is the leading edge they used, but when I look at your drawings it looks like the long edge should be the one leading into hitch. Should I switch the wedge around or should I get a different wedge? Sorry Im not near trailer to take a picture

I recommend going with custom wedge # 30861 which is specifically designed to fit the Curt E16 5th wheel hitches. The universal wedge can be a good fit on some hitches but not all. In this case, you can try different configurations of the universal wedge and try it out but the custom wedge is going to be the best option.
