7-Way and Brake Controller Recommendation for a 2011 Dodge Durango

Question:

I have a 2011 Durango 6cyl AWD. I have a hitch and wiring installed which just has the 4 way flat connector. I would like to know what type of adapter I can get to tow different types of trailers with different pin connections including brakes. Thanks!

What you would need to adapt your 2011 Dodge Durango so that it could tow basically any trailer and give you the option to control the brakes of a trailer is the part # ETBC7. This product will convert the 4-way to a 7-way and will still give you a 4-way mounted to the side of the 7-way. Nearly every trailer on the road has either a 4-way or a 7-way so this adapter would have you covered.

This also comes with everything needed to install a brake controller. Check out the install video and instructions I attached.

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.
