How to Test the Wiring of a Vehicle for Wiring a Trailer Connector
Question:
Hi...I have the following colors coming into a connector that I cannot find an adapter for: Blue Red Brown Black...Could you please tell me how to match these up to the wiring connector with the traditional white, brown, green and yellow wires...Thanks very much!

Since trailer wiring colors on vehicles don't always follow what the industry standard wiring colors call for your best option would be to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test each of the wires by function and then wire it accordingly to your new connector.
