Compatibility of Aftermarket Hitches for 2014 Honda Accord with Bike Racks
Question:
Of the hitches that you sell for the 2014 Honda accord sedan, how far is the distance from the pin hole to the face of the hitch. I have a Hitch bike carrier and it states a miniumin of 1 and 1/2 inches 1.5 inches or more to use the bike carrier. Can you please state the distance, Thak you very much

There are some factory installed hitches, particularly those installed on the newer Subaru models where the hitch pin hole is too close to the face of the receiver, to the point where only certain bike racks can be used.
This is NOT the case with the aftermarket hitches like the Curt # C11681 and the # C11496. They are Class I hitches.
Keep in mind that both the hitch and bike rack manufacturers agree that no more than two bikes should be carried in a bike rack installed on a Class I hitch. The Class I rack has a limited capacity, adding a 3rd or 4th bike would concentrate the weight too far away from the receiver tube, which would place extra leverage on the hitch that it wasn't designed to withstand.
