Availability of Roof Rack Fit Kit for 2009 Pontiac G6  

Question:

Hi, I have a Thule square bar roof rack that I originally bought for my 1999 Pontiac Bonneville no existing rails/crossbars. I was wondering if you have a fit kit that would allow it to be adapted to a 2009 Pontiac G6 4 door, also no existing rails/crossbars. The Thule website was not very helpful, so I was hoping for a non-standard solution to the problem. I have attached the roof rack already, but its not perfectly suited for the G6 and I am hoping to get a fit kit to make it fit better and sturdier. Thanks! -Erik

I have good news and bad news for you. The good news is that I can offer you a roof rack solution. The bad news is that Thule no longer offers a rack fit for your vehicle.

I checked with Thule, and found that Thule used to offer a 2161 fit kit for the G6, but it was compatible with their 400XT roof rack foot which has been discontinued. When Thule discontinued the 400XT foot, they stopped making the 2161 fit kit as well.

One of the most economical solutions I can offer is a Rhino Rack roof rack that consists of the following parts:

Rhino Rack 2500 Series aero crossbar, part # RRVA126B-2
Leg Kit, part # RRRLKVA
Vehicle specific clamp kit, part # DK067
