Best Roof Rack Recommendation for a 2009 Honda CR-V
Question:
Looking for a roof rack for our HondaCRV 2009 with fixed mounting points installed by Honda. We like the aerodynamic bars for minimal noise and better gas efficiency. We are only planning to carry a luggage carrier/box so we dont need extra width - so we prefer the bars that just curve down into the mounting bases/feet. Looks like our choices are: Thule 7602, 3042 and buy locks or Whisper Yakima WB-S5,WB-K448 with lock included. Which locking system is better? Which is quieter? Which gets higher ratings? Which do you recommend?

I would recommend the Thule Aeroblade Edge Roof Rack for your 2009 Honda CR-V that has factory fixed points. The Edge racks are through bars like you said you were interested in where the bar does not extend through the feet of the rack and instead has a low profile factory look.
You would need part numbers:
# TH7602-TH7602, # THKIT3042, and for locks part # TH450400.
For the money you can't beat this rack based on the style you are looking for. The Whispbar Rack you also mentioned is very nice but a bit more expensive. All other things being equal both of these rack would work excellently. One would not outshine the other in any way.
