Sealing Truck Bed Liner After Its Trimmed for Installation of Fifth Wheel Hitch
Question:
after cutting out bed liner for rails and installing bed liner. Is there a need to seal around rails where all gaps are in liner??? Should water be aload to sit under liner

It would be a good idea to prevent water from getting between the liner and the truck bed, but sealing that gap will be difficult to accomplish since a drop in liner usually isn't connected directly to the floor of the truck bed. If you can come up with a way to effectively seal the openings, by all means, do so.
If you don't already have one, you might be interested in a 7-way trailer connector for your truck bed. You can install one using part # C56000.
