Wiring Trailer Brake Magnet with 1 Black Wire and 1 Red/Black Wire
Question:
Hello, I am working on a 1975 Phillips horse trailer. I need to wire up the brakes. At the brake itself I have 2 wires coming out. Can you tell me which one is to activate the brake and I assume the other is ground? One wire is red and the other is red/black. Thanks

On many brake magnets it does not matter which wire is ground and which is power. It is likely that the red/black wire was used as the power wire and the all black wire was the ground.
