Troubleshooting Brake Controller that Powers Off and On Constantly
Question:
Our blackbird brake constantly is calibrating showing all different numbers. Even when we are not pulling our trailer. Does this mean it has a short in the wires?

It sounds like you have an intermittent short on either the power or ground wire of your Blackbird brake controller and it is constantly shutting off and powering on.
Check the attachment point for the black and white wires of the controller to see if they are making a secure connection as it sounds like one of the wires is loose.
I also attached a help article on brake controller installs for you to check out as well.
