2014 Super Duty 5th Wheel Hitch Recommendation Towing Heartland Trailer with 88 Degree Nose

Question:

I am looking to purchase a 5th Wheel Hitch for my 2014 F250. It is the short bed 6 3/4? I have been told that i do not really need a slider and had my eye on the BandW hitch. I do not have the factory kit. I do however have the factory installed slide-camper package, which added heavier front springs, an additional leaf in the rear and a sway bar. I believe that this will actually increase the payload capacity as well. Anyways, thoughts on the slider or no slider? The 5th that we are purchasing is an Heartland with the 88 degree front cap. Any other recommendation if not the BandW. Also, if I cut out the area of the gooseneck whole can the factory berliner stay in place? I think I know the answer to that one

The trailer you are purchasing is the reason you wouldn't need a slider hitch. The Heartland with the 88 degree nose is designed so that a shortbed truck like yours 2014 Ford F-250 can make a 88 degree turn without the use of a slider.

Your towing capacities are still what the owners manual of your truck states. Suspension enhancement is great as it allow the truck to tow the capacities in a safer manner, but it does not give additional capacity.

The B and W setup you are considering would be a great option that I would highly recommend. For the rail kit you would want the part # BWGNRK1111-5W and for the hitch you would want the Companion part # BWRVK3500-5W that you referenced. There are many RVers out there who swear by the Companion so I would recommend it for you.
