Which Replacement Spring Bars Will Fit the Reese Weight Distribution and Dual-Cam Sway Control
Question:
I have the Reese dual cam wd hitch with 800# bars. I think I need to upgrade since my RV weighs 7600# Gross. When I hook it up the bars appea to bend and I can, get the truck and RV level. Do the 1200# bars you have fit the dual cam hitch?

Expert Reply:
If the head unit on your Reese weight distribution system is for round bars, then the trunnion style bars, # RP66009, will not fit. There are not currently replacement round bars in that capacity available from the manufacturer.
If you do have a Reese WD system that uses trunnion style bars, then the Reese Replacement Trunnion Spring Bar, # RP66009, will work. But to make absolutely sure, I will need the make and model of the weight distribution system you have and approximately how old it is. This is because there is a difference between the older style and newer style that will affect which bars you need.
I have included a video and FAQ article on weight distribution and sway control that might also be helpful.
