The first thing to check is to make sure the scooter carrier you have is rated for use at the back of an RV. Due to the distance from the rear axle to the back of an RV (which is longer than on a passenger vehicle) there is considerably more bouncing (like being at the back of a school bus). This additional stress creates a lot of stress on the hitch and the carrier.

If the carrier is rated for use at the back of an RV then what might work for you is the multipurpose ball mount, # D210. The upper receiver part has a capacity of 350 pounds. The ball mount as a whole has a tongue weight capacity of 750 pounds and gross trailer weight capacity of 7,500 pounds. The 750 pound tongue weight capacity means that the combined weight of the scooter carrier, scooter, and the trailer's tongue weight cannot exceed 750 pounds.

The use of any other type of dual receiver will reduce the tongue weight capacity of the trailer hitch by 50 percent.

Also given that there is a lot of movement at the back of an RV I strongly advise additional support straps for the scooter carrier.

We don't have a multi-purpose ball mount like the Curt # D210 that features a 6" drop. The closest option we have would be a dual-receiver adapter like # MPG544, although it would give you a 6" rise for the top receiver.
