Where Does the 4-Way of a 2012 Acura MDX Store When Not in Use
Question:
Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Acura - have a 2012 Acura MDX in which I already installed the Curt hitch. I need to order the vehicle wiring harness but only see the option to keep wiring stowed in the trunk when not in use. I really dont want to have the wiring hanging out of the trunk. Is there another option or kit a video to review that mounts the wiring underneath the car and stores next to the hitch?

In most situations it is preferred to have a 4-way connector on a vehicle that stores on the inside of the vehicle as that will protect it from potential damage and from developing corrosion. The wiring harness part # 118424 is designed to store on the inside of your 2012 Acura MDX and then when you need it you would be able to open the rear door and pull the harness out so that you can attach it to your trailer.
The only way you would be able to store it outside would be run it out the bottom of your trunk floor through a grommet or existing hole. For a 4-way bracket to secure the 4-way you would want the part # 18144.
