Can a 235/80-16 5th Wheel Trailer Tire be Replaced with a 235/85-16 Trailer Tire
Question:
I have a 35ft toy hauler 5th wheel the tires on it are 235/80/16 I cannot fit my hand between the tires what tire do you suggest for the weight and highway speeds I want to go to a 85 wide tire but afraid that dont have the room

The 235/85-16 tires will be approximately 3/4 of an inch wider than the 235/80-16 tires. Based on the space you have available (less than hand width) you would not be able to go to the larger size.
You would be best off sticking with the size you have. If you want to go to a higher load range the only tire we have for a 235/80-16 is # AM10248. It is a load range E rated for 3,197 pounds at 90 psi. Trailer tires should always be inflated to the maximum psi indicated on the tire.
