Can 2014 Subaru Outback Sunroof be Opened to Vent Position with Thule Cargo Basket Installed

Hello, I am considering the TH859XT roof basket for my 2014 Subaru Outback. I watched your video which explains the installation very well and shows a great fit. Mine is a Limited model with a sunroof. It looks like the basket may cover the sunroof directly above it. My concern is the sunroof being in the vent position. Will the sunroof in the open vent position clear the basket? Also, is the Rightline Cargo Bag RL100S20 a good fit with the Thule basket th859xt? Thank you

What you can do is put your sunroof in the vent position and then look to see if it comes up further than the bottoms of the crossbars on the 2014 Subaru Outback roof rack. If it does not then you will likely be able to put the sunroof in the vent position.

Generally speaking we recommend not opening the sunroof at all when something is loaded on the roof.

The Rightline cargo bag, # RL100S20, would be a good fit for the Thule basket # TH859XT. It would fill up most of the free space in the basket without being too large that it overlaps.
