Your 2013 Nissan Titan came from the factory with a quick-connect port under the dash for connection of a brake controller like the Hopkins Agility # HM47294. That quick-connect 4-wire harness for a Hopkins controller is part # HM47635. As long as the connectors match you do not need to be concerned about the 5th wire on the vehicle. Please refer to the photo I have linked for you. That red/lavender wire was for the illumination circuit. Older brake controllers required this wire, but most brake controllers that are made today do not use it. The Nissan factory harness usually has a white label wrapped around the wires that gives the colors and functions of each wire.
If your Titan did not come with the factory tow package then brake controller installation will also require installation of part # N40975 which is illustrated I the linked video.
