How to Carry Bikes with a 2015 Hyundai Sonata

Question:

I am looking for a trunk mounted 2 bike rack that will mount properly on our 2015 Hyundai Sonata. Your site suggests that the Thule TH9001PRO Raceway PRO2 rack will fit my car. If this is the case I will be pleased but I am concerned that when I go directly to Thules site and put in my year, make, and model information their fit guide says none of their trunk racks will fit my car?? I know you guys are experts on these things but I cant figure out why your advice is not the same as Thules. By the way, Im rooting for you to come out on top in this. :

I have a solution for your, but I just spoke to my contact at Thule and there are no fits they can recommend the 2015 Hyundai Sonata for trunk mounted racks.

Instead you would want a hitch like the part # 24965 and go with a hitch mounted bike rack.

The Swagman XTC2, part # S64670 is one of the most popular racks because it's so easy to use, and because the rack has an angled shank that would raise the bike rack up by three inches providing additional ground clearance. Because of that, this is the rack I'd recommend for you. The rack includes an anti-rattle hitch bolt, but a combination anti-rattle hitch lock/cable lock is available separately as part # S64031.
