Does K-Source Back Up Camera KSVS-8 Include a Back Up Alarm

Question:

I purchased the K Source Back up camera and I guess it has a alarm KSVS I installed it the camera in my Ford Explorer 2013 works great and the picture is very good. Now I do not have the alarm with this back up unit or is there a K Source back up camera unit with out the alarm. the reason I am asking because I dont know if I have the alarm or not. 2013 Ford Explorer Basic

I'm not sure what you mean by an alarm... The K-Source # KSVS-8 doesn't include anything that would beep as the vehicle is reversing but you could certainly add something like that if you wish.

We carry several different reverse alarms that would sound a loud beep when the vehicle's shifted into reverse. I'd recommend part # PK41820, which has a 97 dB alarm. Installation would be simply, the alarm would mount behind the rear bumper somewhere with only two wires to install. The red wire would connect to the reverse light circuit, the black wire would ground to the vehicle.

I've linked you to an install video that you might find helpful. The video shows the alarm being installed on a different vehicle, but you'll get a good idea of what the procedure involves.
