Availability of an ST185/80-13 Load Range D Radial Trailer Tire
Question:
Do they make a ST185/80R13 Load Range D - Radial?

Expert Reply:
All of the 185/80-13 trailer tires that we carry are bias ply tires. No radials available in that size. Bias ply tires are better for rougher roads, agricultural applications, due to the strength and toughness of the design. They work fine on pavement as well. Radials will track better and run cooler on pavement though.
In a load range D bias ply we have # AM1ST79.
The radial tire # AM10210 is a 175/80-13 load range D rated for 1,610 pounds at 65 psi. It will be a little more narrow (approximately 1/2 an inch) and slightly shorter (approximately 5/16 of an inch) than the 185. But both of these tires sizes will fit the same size wheels.
