Recommended Brake Controller Wiring Adapter for 2011 Ram 2500
Question:
Tekonsha 3024-P, a brake controller adapter. Description mentions fits to 2015 Ram. Will this also fit my truck: 2011 Ram 2500? Thank you.

If your 2011 Ram 2500 came from the factory with a 7-way trailer connector installed then it will have an under-dash connection port for a brake controller such as the Tekonsha P3 # 90195. In the case of your 2011 Ram, you will use a different wiring adapter, part # 3021-P, but NOT the harness # 3024-P that you referenced. That harness only fits the 2015 model year Ram trucks.
If your truck did not have any factory trailer connector then you will not have the quick-connect port under the dash and brake controller installation will be hard-wired. In this case you'll use brake controller installation kit # ETBC7 and you'll also need a 4-pole harness like # 119178KIT from TowReady.
I have linked an article and video on installing the ETBC7.
