Best Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation for a 2012 Honda Fit

Question:

I had a question about your custom wiring harnesses for trailers: how are they different from the kind I can purchase at a generic trailer store? Yours are around 40-50 bucks and at a generic trailer store theyre $17. I imagine that your custom style will have the correct snap connectors while the generic style will probably have universal adapters. Can you please clarify this for me? I would like to purchase yours, but I want to know why I should spend the extra money. Thank you. *this is for a 2012 honda fit sport.

The Tow Ready Wiring Harness part # 118420 has been custom fit to your 2012 Honda Fit so that it will install much easier than a universal kit. There would be no taillight circuits that would need to be cut or spliced (which could easily get damaged), or any guess work as to which wires to use. This harness just plugs in-line with your taillight connectors and will be ready to go.

I would recommend the # 118420 because it will be easier to install and will be much more reliable than a universal/generic wiring harness.
