Recommended Hydraulic Actuator to work with Kodiak Disc Brake Kit for a 8,000 Pound Axle
Question:
What electric over hydraulic brake actuator would you recommend for use with this Kodiak brake kit. Single axle trailer. 8k axle.

The electric over hydraulic brake actuator I recommend is the Dexter # HBA16 (1,600 psi) as it is compatible with the Kodiak disc brake set # K2HR858DE. See the diagram I included of how the unit needs to be wired.
This actuator requires a minimum 9 amp/hour breakaway kit like # 34-285.
As a side note, you must use a brake controller that is compatible with electric over hydraulic brakes. Just in case you don't have one, I recommend the Prodigy P3 # 90195 because it's very user friendly and easy to install, has a LCD display and is one of our most popular brake controllers we currently offer.
I also included a couple informative articles and video reviews for you too.
